Many people don’t think of winter being a prime time to work on their garden. In fact, many assume that this is the time to ‘put the garden to bed’. But here at Man for all Seasons, we’re on a mission to improve winter’s dull, gloomy reputation. We love winter, and there’s so much colour on offer if you know the right places to look. Here are some of our favourite vibrant wintry plants to liven up your garden this season: Cornus alba ‘Siberica’ (red-barked dogwood) Striking red stems last throughout the winter Acer griseum (paperbark maple) Delicate golden bark flakes away like thin sheets of paper Mahonia x media ‘Winter Sun’ (Oregon grape) A spiky plant with striking yellow scented flowers, followed by small blue berries Sarcococca hookeriana (sweet box) A small evergreen shrub with highly scented white flowers around Christmas through to spring If you think your garden could do with a little winter wonder, explore the options above or, get in touch to talk about your garden design options.

What can we do for you?
